A Maths Dictionary for Kids is an animated, interactive dictionary of math terms for kids. A Maths Dictionary for Kids contains over 600 math terms. Dreambox
Dreambox offers a nice suite of free interactive manipulative tools. They are organized by grade level and topic. They are designed to be used on an interactive whiteboard such as a SmartBoard or Promethean Board, but can be just as easily used on your home computer. The grade five simulations are near the bottom.

As you can probably guess, Multiplication.com offers a multitude of games for learning multiplication. The games are pretty fun and the variety of games is very large.
The National Library of Virtual Manipulatives (NLVM)
The NLVM offers a comprehensive suite of virtual interactives and simulations. All simulations are organized by math strand and grade level. Use this site to develop a deeper understanding of mathematical concepts.

Smarty Games
Smarty Games offers a host of educational games and challenges. They even offer mobile games. Smarty Games contains games for pre-K to early elementary. Their "Michael the Hero" series of games are pretty fun and simple games that offer more than just drill the skill style play. Game for Science is an outstanding site that is designed to get kids excited about science and technology. They have several "portals" that offer many different games and simulations. Kids can play Game for Science as a "tourist" without registering, or they can register an account which requires an email address and confirmation.

EcoKids provides teachers materials for teaching about environmental science. In the "Kids' Section" students can access games organized by various science topics and age appropriateness.

PBS Kids offers a lot of educational resources like videos and games. Their science games collection is very large; covering many topics.

The popular PBS show Nature has a nice site to accompany their program. The site gives you access to various Nature documentaries and videos. Within the site is a section containing quite a few interactives and games - Nature's Interactives & Games. The content is great for a wide range of students covering several topics like animal anatomy or forensic science.

The NAtional Archives Experience: The Digital Vault
The digital vaults from the National Archives offers a unique collection of historical digital photos. Within the Archives Experience site, you can create your own videos or posters using their images. These creations can be saved in your account or e-mailed with a specific URL for your work. Everything is drag and drop for creating within the Digital Vaults. You can add sound to your photo reel as well. Images are well organized and can be separated by keyword tags
