about me
Hello! My name is Brian Beierle. I have been working in public education for the past 9 years. In 2006, I received my bachelor's degree from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. In 2010, I completed my masters degree in Instructional Technology from Cardinal Stritch University. I am excited to be your child's teacher and am looking forward to a great and successful year! Since I will be spending a lot of time with you and your child throughout the year, I thought I’d tell you a little bit about myself…
I grew up right here in East Troy and am excited to give back to the community that has given me so much. I currently live in Lake Geneva with my wife - Amy, who is also a teacher. In my free time, I enjoy hunting, fishing, camping, kayaking, and just about anything that involves being outside. I enjoy all kinds of sports as well and have recently taken up running triathlons. Aside from the outdoors activities, I love to cook! Learning new things is very important to me and I take every opportunity to try something new.
I believe that each child is a unique individual who needs a secure, caring, and stimulating environment in which to grow and mature emotionally, intellectually, physically, and socially. It is my desire as an educator to help students meet their fullest potential in these areas by providing an atmosphere that is safe, supports risk-taking, and invites the sharing of ideas. There are three elements that I believe are conducive to establishing such an environment, (1) the teacher acting as a guide, (2) allowing the child's natural curiosity to direct his/her learning, and (3) as much hands-on, authentic learning as possible.
For myself, teaching provides an opportunity for continual learning and growth. I look forward to working with you to make this a wonderful year for both you and your child. Please feel free to stop in any time to say hello or with any questions or concerns. My door is always open!
